Most of Islington is Victorian and early Edwardian terraces, and a large share of them were split into flats decades ago. That matters underground: one original drain run often serves four or five kitchens and bathrooms that were never designed to share it. Fat and wipes from an upstairs flat surface as a blockage in the ground-floor gully, and the first person to notice is rarely the person who caused it.
Most of our Islington calls come from tenants and managing agents rather than owner-occupiers. The person who phones is often not the person who arranges the work, and the drain in question is usually shared between flats that were carved out of one house. We survey the run and report what we find with footage, so everyone involved is looking at the same evidence rather than at three different accounts of it.
Whatever we find, you get a fixed price before we start and there is never a call-out charge. Lines are answered 24 hours a day on 0781 795 7789.
