Hot cure lining

CIPP lining cured by circulating heated water through the inflated liner.

Hot cure lining uses water heated to between 60 and 80 degrees Celsius circulated through the inflated liner to accelerate resin cure to typically two to four hours regardless of ground temperature. The technique provides reliable, controlled curing in cold weather where ambient resin would set very slowly. A boiler unit, recirculation pump and temperature monitoring system are required, so site footprint is larger than for ambient cure systems. Hot cure lining is widely used on lateral drains and short sewer runs across London where year-round availability matters. Operators must follow BS EN ISO 11296-4 and discharge cooled water through an authorised route in line with Thames Water's trade effluent and discharge guidance.
