As-built drainage drawings record the drainage system as it was actually constructed, capturing any changes that arose during installation compared with the original design. They are typically produced at handover of a construction project and are essential for ongoing maintenance, future alteration and adoption by Thames Water under Sewers for Adoption. The drawings show pipe routes, diameters, materials, gradients, invert and cover levels, chambers, gullies, soakaways and any SuDS components, prepared to BS 1192 conventions and informed by site measurement, photographs and survey data. In Greater London, as-built drainage drawings are increasingly delivered alongside a CCTV survey to BS EN 13508-2 and digital asset registers. Building Regulations Part H requires accurate records of drainage installed and the documentation supports compliance, ongoing operations and any later investigation work.
