Universal pan connector

Flexible fitting that joins a toilet pan to the soil pipe accommodating offsets and angles.

A universal pan connector is a flexible or moulded fitting that joins the outlet of a toilet pan to the soil pipe, accommodating small differences in alignment, offset and angle. UK pan connectors are manufactured to BS EN 1329 and BS EN 1401 dimensional standards and are commonly available in straight, 90 degree, offset and extended versions. Most modern connectors use ribbed seals that grip the pan outlet and soil pipe without the need for sealant or clips. They are widely used during toilet replacement in older London bathrooms where existing soil pipe positions may not match those of a new pan. Care should be taken to support the pan correctly and avoid stressing the connector, which can over time lead to small leaks at the joint.
