Trailer-mounted jetter

High-pressure jetter mounted on a road trailer for site use.

A trailer-mounted jetter is a high-pressure water jetting unit mounted on a road-going trailer that is towed to site and parked alongside the works area. The trailer carries a positive displacement pump, water tank of typically 400 to 1,200 litres, an engine, a hose reel and storage for nozzles and accessories. Trailer jetters are well suited to commercial drainage works, suburban estates and large adopted sewer cleaning where a longer hose reach is needed and on-board water capacity matters. They are less practical in central London streets such as Soho or Covent Garden where on-street parking is restricted and access roads are narrow. Operators must follow the Water Jetting Association Code of Practice and the trailer must be roadworthy in accordance with the Construction and Use Regulations 1986.
